Critique an existing multimedia brand

Cosmopolitan is a fun and exciting women’s lifestyle magazine that attracts its audience with the type of content and topics that are largely focused on throughout their magazine; these are beauty, fashion, health and sex (Cosmopolitan, n.d). The magazine is available in both digital and paper versions, whilst the digital version of the magazine offers a range of multimedia content to keep its viewers reading their site.

The Cosmopolitan site shows a range of innovative and unique multimedia such as on the homepage there are moving images above the heading and menu bar. This initially grabs the eye of the reader as it is unexpected when first clicking on to the site, then further down the home page there are more moving images and videos made interactive with the choice of sound to come with the image, thus creating an interactive experience for the viewer, however this is mostly largely prevalent on home page and could be used on the subpages more to keep the viewer engaged with the content.
