June 21st, 2018 live at the Palais Royal in the heart of Paris.
The Louis Vuitton Menswear SS show is set in a beautiful setting in the Palais Gardens. The focal point being a magical runway featuring an hombre of bold colours contrasting with the natural scenery of the gardens.
Looking down the length of the runway shows all models are of black ethnicity and have been placed in all white new season, creating a visual contrast.
Looking down the length of the runway, the pieces replicate the runway with the colour of the pieces changing every 3-4 models. In contrast to the 2018 SS show created by previous menswear director Kim Jones, the pieces in the 2019 show are influenced by street wear and feature a utilitarian style. Whilst the 2018 pieces feature formal and asymmetric designs, showing how Virgil is placing his personal style upon new season.
